Jessie L. White, 40, of Colona passed away abruptly at home Saturday, May 14, 2022. with his beloved wife, Nikki by his side.
Jessie was a dedicated inspiration with a heart of gold. He was beloved and remembered by all who crossed his path. He brought smiles to our faces, and laughter to our hearts. Thanks to him, we all have a lifetime of love and memories.
He was born July 21, 1981 to Vicki and Roy White. Jessie grew up with 2 brothers, Stevie, and Andy, and 1 Sister Dawn. He was a wild child that raised pure havoc around Green Rock from the time he could walk. At the age of 17 he began dating the love of his life, and best friend, Nikki. Together the 2 of them conquered the obstacle of life no matter what was thrown at them.
Over the years he worked at various jobs always leaving a lasting impression: Springfield Armory, Isle of Capri Casino, Lift systems, RIIS, and lastly, he became the owner of Sears Seating in 2018....Well at least he acted like he owned the place anyways!
Jessie was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals, and Detroit Lions fan, and loved going to the games every chance he got. He enjoyed playing cards with friends, cornhole, stock car races, volunteering with his wife, and playing jokes on unsuspecting people.
Jessie is survived at home by his wife of 20 years, Nikki along with his 2 hounds, Mayzee and Buford; parents Vicki Painter, Jo Lynn Moone, and Roy (Linda) White; brothers Steve (Erica) White and Andy Painter; sister Rachael McChurch; several nieces and nephews; best friends Danny and Angelica Farnsworth, and his union brothers and sisters of UAW local 1896 where he was a proud steward.
Thank you to all of the beautiful souls he’s met throughout the last few years, those that accepted him for the amazing human he was, encouraged him to strive for greatness, and helped mold him into the powerful inspiration he became. Dream Team Prosthetics, Austin Teel ~ 1031 fitness, Dr. Eric Dippel, QCA adaptive sports association, and lastly Sears Seating ~ for giving a guy without legs the pleasure of out working most of the “2 legged freaks” he came across.
He joins His 2 bonus dads, Bird Painter and Gary Moone, best friend Jocko, sister Dawn, and grandparents in paradise.
In honor of Jessie’s never take life to seriously jokester personality, we ask that you celebrate his memory by having fun. Live life to the fullest in all that you do and remember to always believe in yourself ~ especially when others doubt you!
Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. A service will be 12:00pm Saturday at the mortuary followed by a celebration of Jessie’s amazing life from 2-7 at Scott Family Park clubhouse in Colona. We all know Jessie loved his games, so bring your nerf gun if you want to join us in a war! Memorials may be made to the QCA Adaptive Sports Association.
