JoAnne James, 71, of Moline, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at her home in Moline.A memorial reception will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Svithiod Club in Moline. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.She was born April 25, 1940, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Charles and Elizabeth Lawless Fisher. She married Don E. James. He passed away in 1996.She retired as a secretary from Henschen Manufacturing. She enjoyed sewing.Survivors include her son, Martin J. James, Moline; son-in-law, Joe Herman, Moline; grandchildren, Brett Deaton, Jill Herman and Charles James-Hoos; and sisters, Mary C. Fisher, Agency, Iowa, Helen Walker, Eddyille, Iowa, and Jane Fisher, Moline.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Lisa L. Herman; grandson, Brian Deaton; and four brothers and one sister.
