Joel A. Rosenthal, 43, of Milan, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, at Moline Church of Christ. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rock Island County Humane Society.
He was born March 8, 1968, in Moline, to George and Janet Lutz Rosenthal.
He was a message therapist and also stocked shelves at Wal-Mart.
He was a member of the Rock Island Conservation Club. He enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors. He also loved animals and cared for a variety of pets.
Survivors include his father, George Rosenthal, Rock Island; stepfather, Michael Stange, Milan; sister, Janet Cockran-Toliver, Rock Island; brothers, Steven (Kerry) Rosenthal, Durham, N.H., James (Michelle) Rosenthal, Rock Island, Brad (Suzanne) Rosenthal, Omaha, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and a brother, David Stange.
