Kathleen Schumacher

Kathleen Bowling Schumacher, 82, of East Moline passed away August 15, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Kathleen was born March 27, 1940 in Hyden, KY the daughter of Henry and Pearley (Baker) Bowling. She worked several jobs with the most recent being a crossing guard for East Moline Schools. She enjoyed going to the casinos. Kathleen was a wonderful and giving mother, grandmother, and sister.

Survivors include her sons Wayne (Anastacia DelRio) Schumacher and Mark (Denise Coats) Schumacher; grandchildren Christina Pearl Schumacher, Wayne “Bubba” Schumacher, Brittani (Justin) McIntosh, Sommer Schumacher, Daniel Schumacher, and Karlie Schumacher; great grandchildren Kyler, Bailey, Chasity, Brooke, Harley, Abigail, Caiden, Lilli, KJ, Aviana, and Ariella; great great grandchildren Lorenzo and Swayzee and sisters Mary Showalter and Denise (Denny) Anton.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Leah Schumacher, and siblings Woodrow Bowling, Jackie Jones, Lee Bowling, Matt Bowling, Jess Bowling, McKinley Bowling, and Pauline Hoffman.
