Kay Dietzel

Kay Dietzel died Saturday, April 7, 2012, surrounded by her beloved family. Kay was born March 22, 1936, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to Jean and Isaac Hartness. Kay, who graduated from Visitation High School in Dubuque, was a gifted singer and received full music scholarships upon graduation. She married Vincent Dietzel in 1954. The couple moved to Bettendorf in 1965 where they raised their five children. Kay will be remembered for her gentle spirit and generosity. Her kindness, and thoughtfulness will always be treasured. Kay loved spending time with her family, her dog and singing and listening to music. Kay is survived by Vincent and their five children, Kim, Linda (Dale), Brad (Sara), Cindy (Dave) and Ann (Bill), and her 11 grandchildren. A private Mass will be held in her honor.
