Larry Ditto

Larry E. Ditto, 73, of Moline, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time. Cremation rites will follow. Larry was born June 27, 1940, in East Prairie, Mo., the son of Jewel E. and Nellie D. Hawkes Ditto. He married Marilyn Houghtaling on Sept. 13, 1969, in East Moline. Larry retired from Olson Engineering in Eldridge. He enjoyed NASCAR and watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboy's. He specially loved watching his grandchildren play sports, often calling out "Do it again." Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; children, Roger (Stephanie) Witt, Attalla, Ala., Sandra Olson, Milan, Lisa (Casey) Wages, Moline, and Tiffany (Brian) Nickell, Moline; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Betty Golden.
