Larry Newlon

Larry D. Newlon, 73, of Moline passed away November 23, 2021 at Bickford Cottage in Moline.

Funeral services will be 10:30am Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7pm Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Entombment will follow in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Larry was born January 15, 1948 in Geneseo, IL the son of Walter and Anna (Rosenow) Newlon. He was a science teacher at Moline High School and retired from John Deere as a Computer Supervisor in 2013. Larry was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed trivia and history. He also enjoyed his dogs Buck and Maggie, and his cats Skitters and Feisty.

Survivors include his brother Rick (Janet) Newlon of Hampton, IL; nieces and nephews Kendra Newlon, Brian (Cydney) Newlon, and Karen (Joe Schrank) Newlon and a special friend John Kraker.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
