Lea Hock

Lea Hock, 84, of Coal Valley passed away December 8, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will be in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Lea was born May 24, 1934 in Moline, IL the daughter of Leo and Florence Boney. She married William Hock July 5, 1952 in Santa Barbara, CA. He passed away August 19, 2001. Lea worked as a nurse’s aide and enjoyed crocheting. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children Larry (Terri) Hock and Annette Fitzwater; grandchildren Donald (Sarah) Hock, Alicia (Ken) Willeford, Adam (Samantha) Hock, Billie Jo Vickers, Bret Harris, Dennis Hock Jr. (Sonja), Blossom (Mark) Pugh, Austin (Laura) McMahon; great grandchildren Elizabeth, Andrew, Joshua, Hailey, Mason Hock, Jayden and Jaxson McMahon; great step grandson Landen Gunnison; brother Ralph (Sally) Boney; sister in laws Julia Carter and Jan Boney;  brother in law Armond (Sheryl) Hock and many nieces and nephews.

Lea was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Dennis; grandchildren Larry Jr., Lolly and Lloyd; sister Velda and a brother Richard.

The family would like to thank Dee (Jim) Owens, Dennis Jr., Sonja, Larry, Terri and Bob and Kathie Hook for all the help given to Lea.
