Lesley Dean Plunkett, 86, formerly of Colona passed away March 14, 2018 in Joplin, MO.
A memorial visitation will be 1-3pm Saturday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Private family burial will be at Dayton Corners Cemetery in Colona. Memorials may be made to the family.
Dean was born May 24, 1931 in Quincy, IL the son of Arthur and Mamie Greening Plunkett. He married Margaret Birdsley in Nov. of 1950. She passed away June 3, 1984. Dean worked for Rock Island Lines retiring in 1976. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, cars and tinkering in general.
Survivors include his children Cynthia "Glee" (Richard) May, Kenneth (Mary) Plunkett and Gerald Plunkett; grandchildren Shelly (Kris) Warren, Aron Buttram, Amanda (Russ) Bos, Ian (Rebecca) Plunkett, Melissa (Rachel) Plunkett, Cynthia Everson, Nathan Plunkett, and Jacob Plunkett; great grandchildren Brandon Warren, Austin Warren, Ellie Warren, Alayna Buttram, Cassidy Bos, Kaysey Bos and Chloe Bos. Special friends, Corine and Leslie.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother Lyle Plunkett.
