Leslie Frederick Stout Sr., 76, of Silvis, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Buffalo. Memorials may be made to the family.
Leslie was born July 16, 1937, in Buffalo, son of Hessel and Norma Erbst Stout. He lived in Silvis all of his life. He married his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Edwina Margarete Justus, on July 2, 1976, in Silvis.
Leslie was a bus driver and custodian for Silvis schools for 38 years. He loved camping and traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He did crafts to occupy his time. He never met a stranger and always enjoyed conversing with anyone.
Survivors include his wife, Edwina; children, Leslie (Ronny) Frederick Stout Jr., Leonard (Teresa) Stout, Marguerite (Shelby) Bolden, Julie (Denny) Kresin, Betty (Jack Daniels) Kraemer, William (Terry) Milburn, Peggy (Jim) Benton, Vernon (Deb) Milburn, Nancy (John) Harris, Sandy (Dion) Littig and Tammy Milburn; 38 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Julie VanBunnen. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents; Rebecca Stout; sons, Lynn Stout and David Milburn; and a granddaughter, Latisha Cantu.
