Libby Root, 75, of Colona, died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at her home.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Burial is at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice.
She was born March 11, 1936, in Osgood, Mo., daughter of Ray W. and Alta Johnson Hatcher. She married Roy Root Sept. 29, 1955.
She loved spending time with her friends and family and also enjoyed wintering in Arizona and riding the dune buggies in the mountains.
Surviving are her husband, Roy; children, Ricky (Heidi) Root, Randy (Tammy) Root and Robby (Red) Root, all of Colona; grandchildren, Patricia, Catherine, Christina, Jessica (Michael), Jason and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Jalen, Maisa, Caden, Cloey, Rowdy and Rodney; brother, Bobby Hatcher, San Diego, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents.
