Lisa Lack

June 15, 1960 — November 26, 2016

Lisa Rose Lack, 56, of Colona, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, following a battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 29th at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Colona. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Lisa was born on June 15, 1960 in Moline, to Bill and Jeanette Lack. She was a graduate of Colona Grade School and United Township High School class of 1977. Lisa was employed as the Health Care Administrative Support Specialist at the Rock Island Arsenal, Army Sustainment Command (ASC), Health Center for the past 37 years. She was devoted to assisting families with their health insurance and health care problems, helping many throughout the years. She had a kind heart and a great passion for serving others.

She also worked part-time at J.C. Penney photography studio pursuing her love of photography. She especially enjoyed taking family photos around the holidays, helping families capture the perfect holiday moment for a Christmas card or family photo. Lisa was also an avid reader and enjoyed researching family genealogy and scrap booking.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Jeanette Winterbottom, her sister Jennifer Anderson (David) Colona, her brothers, Bill, Moline, Rick (Denise) Colona, Jerry (Cathy) East Moline, Dave (Lillimore) Maryland, Jack, Colona, Robert, South Dakota and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lisa was especially close to her cousin Samantha Lack.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father and her step-father, Robert Winterbottom.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at the University of Iowa Hospital, Genesis Visiting Nurses, and Unity Point Trinity and Genesis Hospice for their compassion and support through Lisa's illness.
