Lois E. Tallman, 92, of Silvis passed away Nov. 19, 2015, at Ft. Armstrong Assisted living in Rock Island. Per her wishes, Lois will be cremated. Burial will be at Johnson Cemetery in Blountville, Tenn., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church of East Moline. Lois was born June 15, 1923, near Albia, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Laura Jennison. She graduated from Albia High School and attended Iowa Success School in Ottumwa, Iowa, and Bristol Commercial College in Bristol, Tenn. Lois worked as an office assistant for several years. Lois resided in Bristol, Tenn.-Va., since 1951, and was a member of the Reynolds Memorial Church for 50 years, before moving to Silvis and joining First Christian Church of East Moline. Lois enjoyed United Methodist Women, Christian Women United and reading. Survivors include her sisters, Helen Schnoor, Johnston, Iowa, and Ann White, Silvis; grandchildren, Kathy (Kenneth) Artrip, David and Austin, Blountville, and Brittany, Bristol, Tenn.; stepson, Eugene (Margaret) Tallman, Marion, Texas, James (Kay) Tallman, Bristol, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Nancy (Phillip) Fleenor, Abington, Va.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James C. Tallman; a daughter, Linda B. Willis; a son, Terry R. Bell; and a son-in-law, Eugene Willis.
