Louise A. "Nanny" Polich, 92, of Silvis, died June 10, 2012, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Services are noon Thursday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is one hour before the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation.
She was born July 8, 1919, in Depew, Ill., to Frank and Mary Kuplenik Penca. She married Duchen Polich on April 3, 1943, in Missouri. He died in 1953.
Louise worked in the cafeteria at the Silvis schools. She retired in 1979.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Altar Society, a life member of the Silvis PTA and an SNPJ Lodge.
Survivors are daughters, Carole (Larry) Kennedy, of Silvis, and Sharon (Bob) Stogdell, of Colona; grandchildren, Sue Martel, Lori Hunter, Angie DeCapp, Cheryl Dodson and Jana Mann; 10 great- grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded by siblings, Mary, Jenny, Helen, Penny, Frank, Francis and Louis.
