Lyle W. Schatteman

Lyle W. Schatteman passed away peacefully at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus on Monday, October 23, 2023.

Per his request cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life will be at a later date. A private burial will be scheduled for the immediate family. Memorials may be made to QC Paws or the Kidney Foundation of the Quad Cities.

Lyle was born February 8, 1939 in Moline, Illinois the son of Lawrence and Mary Anglese Schatteman Sr.  He served in the United States Army before going to work at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, retiring after 30 years. He married Margareta Reingruberin May of 1959, she had a daughter Linda Reingruberin which he adopted. He later married Victoria Brooks in March of 1995. Lyle loved fishing and his Chevy S10 along with his John Deere collection.

He is survived by his wife Victoria Schatteman of Colona, his daughter Linda (Jack) Greenleaf of Arizona, Stepchildren Raymond (Patti) Brooks of East Moline, Lois (Pat) Buchholz of Thomson, IL, and Tara Brooks of Clinton, IA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Claris Bowles of Florida; brother Orrin (Marilyn) Schatteman of Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a brother.
