Mardelle Lopez, 73, of East Moline, born Aug. 19, 1937, in Plainview, Neb., passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at her home with her family.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Friends maypaytheir respectsfrom 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at the mortuary.
Mardelle was an amazing mother and loyal friend. She touched so many people in so many ways.
She worked at East Moline Metal Products and Martin Title Company. When she retired, Mardelle started making enchiladas for all her friends and family to enjoy.
She graduated from United Township High School in 1955, where she was an active member of her high school reunion committee. Mardelle loved to take road trips, fishing with family and friends, as well as working on crossword puzzles and visiting with her friends.
Mardelle is survived by her five children, Marlene Fry (late Kevin Fry), Spickard, Mo., Ronald Lopez (Kris), Bettendorf, Alan Lopez (Janet), Longmont, Colo., Diane Farrell (Frank), Moline, Annette Schroeder (Paul), Shiloh, Ill. She had 10 grandchildren, Stephanie, Robert, Mindy, Evan, Emmanine, Ian, Sydney, Jamie, Matthew and Veronica. She had eight great-grandchildren, Justice, Dyson, Miley, Emmie, Yuji, Ayden, Elysia, Karsyn. She was preceded in death by both her parents, Karl and Martha Binder; brother, Fred Binder;sister, Mimmi Stewart; and son-in-Law, Kevin Fry.
