Margery R. Bradley, 90, of Carbon Cliff, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline.
Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. A graveside service will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will be served at Northcrest Calvary Church, Moline. Normal 6:30 p.m. services there will be canceled. Memorials may be made to Northcrest Calvary Church.
Margery was born on Aug. 22, 1922, in Trenton, Mo., the daughter of Albert and Vera Collins Weaver. She married Virgil Bradley on Aug. 22, 1940, in LaClede, Mo. He passed away on Dec. 7, 2002.
Margery retired from The Dispatch as a secretary. She was an excellent singer and choir director at Northcrest Calvary Church in Moline, where she was a member. Margery was requested to sing for several weddings and special events in the area.
Survivors include her sons, Alan Bradley, Carbon Cliff, and Wayne (Sandra) Bradley, The Villages, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; daughter, Janet and two grandsons.
