Marie Morrow Waters, 94, of Moline, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at her home. Per her wishes she will be cremated. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Silvis United Methodist Church, followed by a celebration of life service from 2 to 3 p.m. Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Silvis United Methodist Church. Marie was born Dec. 21, 1918, in Joy, the daughter of George and Ida Espeland Morrow. She married DeRoy Schneck May 31, 1942, in Joy. She later married Leo Waters on Oct. 16, 1976, in Moline. He passed away Feb. 8, 2001. She graduated from College of Naprapathy in 1942 and was a practicing Doctor of Naprapathy for more than 60 years. She was an independent distributor of many health products. Marie had a passion for golfing and was a past member of Oakwood Country Club and Short Hills. She was the women's golf champion at Oakwood Country Club in the 1950s. Marie also loved big band music and ballroom dancing. She was a past member of First United Methodist Church (Riverside) and Unity Church of Naples, Fla., and Moline. Survivors include her daughter, Connie Yuknis, Moline; sons, Kenneth D. Schneck, East Moline, and John E. (Sharm) Schneck, Coal Valley; grandchildren, Stacie (Dan) Haack, Steven (Eva) Waite, Anne (Tim) Perez and Sarah (Chad) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Steven Waite, Steven Fulkroad, Justin Lawver, Grayson and Evie Perez, and Addy Johnson.
