Marilyn Cummings, 87, of East Moline, died on July 26, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society, Geneseo. Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hope United Church of Christ, 3324 41st St., Moline, where she was a member. An Order of the Eastern Star service will be at noon with visitation to follow until service time. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church. She was born on Nov. 8, 1927, Cambridge, daughter of Myron and Katie McConnell Stackhouse. She married Wayne Cummings on April 8, 1956, in Cambridge; Wayne died Aug. 6, 1997. She graduated from Cambridge High School and Western Illinois University. Marilyn was a member of Rose Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Kings Daughters, Pyramid 10, life member of National Education Association and a life member of Blackhawk Area Retired Teachers. Marilyn loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises. Survivors include her daughter, Laura (Frank) Teitsch, Harriman, Tenn.; brother, Myron (Ellie) Stackhouse, Cambridge; sisters-in-law, Cheryle (Roger) Colmark, Sterling, Marilyn (Don) Hardy, Cordova; brother-in-law, Ronald "Mike" (Margie) Cummings, Richmond, Va.; nieces, Kathy (Harry) Budge, Cambridge, and Kelli (Jeff) Appel, Normal; nephews, Bruce (Sara) Colmark, Sterling, Charles (Sarah) Colmark, Dallas, Texas; and several great-nieces and -nephews
