Marilyn Matson

Marilyn Jean Matson, 74 of East Moline passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be Friday, March 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be Thursday, March 6 from 4-7 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Marilyn was born May 10, 1939 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Bernard R. and Geraldine M. Goldsby Matson. She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal. Marilyn was an avid reader. Survivors include her sister Sharon Hess of Bettendorf, IA; 3 nephews Gregory, Gary and Jeff Hess. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents and a nephew Jeffrey Todd Hess. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Marilyn's name for a fund to be established.
