A memorial service for Marion Louise Forgy, East Moline, who passed away Feb. 1, 2015, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 8, at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis, with visitation one hour preceding the service. A private burial service will be at Chapel Grove Cemetery near Taylor Ridge. Memorials may be made to Silvis United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association. Marion was born Oct. 27, 1923, in Rock Island, the daughter of John A. and Marion A. Trulson Forgy. She worked as a secretary at Ametek, Moline Public Hospital and Trinity School of Nursing. Marion was a member of Silvis United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Quilting Circle, sang in the choir, and served as pianist. She was a 50-year member of Rose Chapter of Eastern Star, a member of White Shrine and also the Do Unto Others Circle of King's Daughters. Survivors include her niece, Janet Forgy; and cousins, Elizabeth Schwegler, John (Nancy) Schwegler, Fred (Ann) Trulson Jr., Paul Trulson and Susan Trulson (Dennis) Runyon. Marion was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Irvin and Lee Forgy; and a cousin, Roy Schwegler.
