Mark A. Broline, 54, of Port Byron, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Memorials may be made to the family. Mark was born May 4, 1958, in Moline, the son of Richard and Norma Riley Broline. He was a union electrician for Davenport Electric, retiring in 2011. Mark enjoyed building hovercrafts and attending hovercraft rallies. He also enjoyed taking down barns and windmills and spending time at Midwest Scrap Yard. Mark loved spending time with his children and grandson and taking care of his cats. Survivors include his mother, Norma Broline, of Port Byron; daughter, Cassandra (Tom) Steffen, of Hillsdale; son, Nick Broline, of East Moline; grandson, Brock Steffen; and sister, Andrea (Ray) Churchill, of Albany. Mark was preceded in death by his father.
