Marlaina Kirkpatrick

Marlaina J. Kirkpatrick, 82, of Rock Island passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. 

A memorial service will be 2:30pm Saturday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation from 1:00pm until service time. 

Marlaina was born February 16, 1942 in Silvis, IL the daughter of Lawrence and Mazie (Modglin) Sweat. She retired from Genesis Health Systems as a computer operator. 

Survivors include her son Brian Carpentier and nieces Sue Mesa and Bonnie Potter. 

Marlaina was preceded in death by her parents and brothers George Sweat, Charles Sweat, John “Jack” Sweat, and Ron Sweat.
