Mary Lou Chrisop, 85, of Geneseo, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Home.
She was born March 22, 1927, at Hennepin Canal Lock No. 29 in Colona to Robert and Bessie Deem Crist. She married Merle Chrisop on July 28, 1946, in East Moline. He passed away Sept. 17, 1997.
She was a floral designer. She was a member of the ladies aid group at Greenriver United Methodist Church, where she was a member, the Geneseo Quilt Club and the Colona Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include her sister, Barbara Miller, Mississippi; brother, Ralph Crist, Cleveland, Ill.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers, Allen and Sam.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at Hillcrest Home for all of their kindness and compassion.
