Mary Jane Peterson, 89, of Moline, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Silvis United Methodist Church, where she has been a member since 1946.
Mary Jane was born July 18, 1921, in East Moline, the daughter of Roy Boyde and Edna Lillian Mikesell Lamb. She graduated from United Township High School in 1939. She married William K. Peterson on Feb. 22, 1945, in Alexandria, Va.
She worked at John Deere Harvester for nine years as a shipping clerk writer. Mary Jane was very active in the PTA at Roosevelt and Calvin Coolidge Schools, receiving a life membership in 1969. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, William, Moline; children, Cheryl A. (Terry) Demmel, Littleton, Colo., and Kevin (Chris) Peterson, Bettendorf; and grandchildren, Ryan Demmel, Lauren Demmel, Ashley (Doug) Lindstrom and Eric Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Helen Hall.
