Mary Sanders

Mary “Adelle” Sanders, 91, of Colona passed away October 22, 2018 at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis.

Funeral services will be 11am Thursday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Adelle was born July 14, 1927 in Alabama the daughter of William and Lunie Wood White. She married Mack Sanders Dec. 24, 1945 in Hamilton, AL. He passed away July 2, 1990. Adelle enjoyed vegetable gardening and shopping.

Survivors include her son Roger (Cindy) Sanders; grandchildren Amy Sanders, Eric (Lisa) Sanders and Lisa (Mike) Roos all of Sherrard; great grandchildren Karie, Brian, Mason, Emma; step great grandchildren Jacey, Nick, Haylie and Abbie; siblings Joyce, Danny and Sue; special niece Jan Johnson; great nieces Teresa Johnson and Nicole Johnson and great great nephew James Johnson.

Adelle was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings Faye, Helen, Audrey, Christine, Ruby, Clarence and JimmieNell; great niece Tami Johnson.

The family would like to give special thanks to Mary Carlson and Jackie Stickle for their love and support over the years and also to the staff at IRC for all the care given to Mary.
