Matthew P. "Butch" Myetich III, 59, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011, at his home in Moline.
A celebration of Butch's life will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Memorials may be made to QC Paws.
Butch was born June 19, 1951, in Moline, the son of Matthew and Grace Demery Myetich. He married Shela Cox Feb. 15, 1975.
He worked at Valspar in East Moline for several years and was later employed at Hey Bryan's in East Moline, and also worked with his son at Jamie's Firewood Service. Butch was an avid NASCAR fan and loved spending time with his sons.
Survivors include his children, Jamie (Bobbie) Myetich and Greg Myetich, both of Silvis; his siblings, Patricia Springer, Mary Myetich and Joseph (Tammy) Myetich, all of East Moline, Mark (Diana) Myetich, Fort Worth, Texas, and Vicky (Paul) Hayles, Fort Madison, Iowa; his "granddog," Adelaide. Butch was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; one sister and a "granddog," Roadrunner.
