Mattie Miner, 80, of Colona, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Rock Island Nursing and Rehab Center.
Services are10 a.m. Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Burial is atGreenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is4-7 p.m. today at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Colona.
She was born Sept. 9, 1930, in Casa, Ark., daughter of Idus and Eva Hubbard Archer. She married Cecil Wilson in 1945, in Ola, Ark. She then married Jack Sanders in 1958 in Rock Island. She later married Vere Miner in 1967, in Moline.
Mattie's career was in the food service industry. She enjoyed bowling and her family.
Survivors (and spouses) include her children, Dan (Nancy) Wilson, Little Rock, Ark., Larry (Esther) Wilson, Racine, Wis., Tom (Vickie) Wilson, Colona, Jack (Vickie) Sanders, Rapids City, Cathy (Wayne) McWade, Colona, and Karen (Don) Kern, San Marcos, Calif.; stepchildren, Pegi Miner, San Antonio, Texas, Dan (Becky) Miner, East Moline, Dennis (Bobbie) Miner, Silvis, Pat (Tom) Mapes, Davenport, Mike (Sandy) Miner, Erie, Donna (Bill) Banta, New Liberty, Iowa, Ron (Dawn) Miner, Colona, Tom (Sherry) Miner, East Moline, Barbara (Jim) Norwood, San Antonio, Texas; 36 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and a sister,Dovy George, Berta, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters; husbands; and a son, Delbert Wilson.
