Mayetta Smith, 90, of Colona passed away Feb. 15, 2018 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Geneseo.
Funeral services will be 10am Monday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Visitation will be 3-5pm Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline.
Mayetta was born Jan. 15, 1928 in Brookfield, MO the daughter of Elbert and Emma Mae Lynn Mossbarger. She married James "JW' Smith Aug. 10, 1948 in Brookfield, MO. He passed away Nov. 10, 2013. Mayetta enjoyed crocheting, reading and writing letters. She also enjoyed gardening and canning and had her own at home farmers market.
Survivors include her daughter Linda (Mike Seibert) Waddell; sons Donald (Diana) Smith and Charlie Smith; grandchildren Carla Waddell, Lori and Kelly Waddell and Donny, Nick and Amy Smith; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Mayetta was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Lloyd "Eugene" Mossbarger.
