Muriel Reynolds

Muriel "Mickey" Reynolds, 90, of Silvis passed away Monday - August 19, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 10am Saturday at First Baptist Church in East Moline where she was a member for over 50 years. Visitation will be 4-8pm Friday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church. Muriel was born Dec. 6, 1922 in Manchester, England the daughter of David Joseph and Alice Battersby Whiteside. She married Marion Reynolds Feb. 24, 1947 in Salford Lanes, England. He passed away June 17, 1991. Mickey served in the Royal Air Force in 1941. She later volunteered at Illini Hospital where she was a member of Illini Auxiliary. She also volunteered at Red Cross and the former Lutheran Hospital. Survivors include her sons David F. (Diana) Reynolds of Colona, James E. (Carrie) Reynolds of Glendale Heights, IL, C.B. (Sharlin) Reynolds of Carol Stream, IL, Marion S. Jr. (Nancy) Reynolds of Cabot, Ark.; Daughter in law Sheryl Slack of Carol Stream, IL; 13 Grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren with one on the way; one great great grandchild on the way. Muriel was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Lesley and a sister Audrey.
