Nada Holzinger

Nada Holzinger, 60, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Manor Care Nursing Home, Cedar Rapids. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Waypoint of Cedar Rapids. She was born July 4, 1952, in Rock Island, to Eugene A. and Charlotte Rose Thompson Havemann. She married Steven Holzinger on June 26, 1972, in Chicago. Steve died Nov. 7, 2007. She enjoyed crafts, drawing, candle work and wrote poems. Survivors include her son, Sean, Cedar Rapids; mother-in-law, Norma Holzinger, Carbon Cliff; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband.
