Nellie M. Billings

Nellie M. Billings, 101, of East Moline passed away September 27, 2023 at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis.

Funeral services will be 11am Monday at Schroder Mortuary with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Memorials may be made to Wildwood Baptist Church.

Nellie was born October 18, 1921 in Ladora, IA the daughter of Charles and Laura Nedderman Horn. She married Cecil Billings December 22, 1940 in Ottumwa, IA. He passed away December 2, 1998. Nellie worked for Regalia Manufacturing in Rock Island for 25 years, retiring in 1982. She attended Wildwood Baptist Church where she helped with gatherings and funeral luncheons. Nellie enjoyed canning and embroidery.

Survivors include her children Gordon Billings of East Moline, James (Mary Sue) Billings of East Moline and Shirley Billings of Hampton; 3 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Doug, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
