Norma Buchanan

Norma Buchanan, 88, of Colona, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 6, 2018.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to First Southern Baptist Church in Colona or the Colona Fire Department.

Norma was born Dec. 22, 1929, in Philadelphia, Mo., the daughter of Leo and Hettie (Spees) Scott. She married Leon (Bob) Johnson on Jan. 18, 1948, in Lancaster, Mo.. He passed away Jan. 11, 1971. They had two children, Dewayne Johnson and Connie (Leland) Bushong, both of Colona. She later married Elda (Buck) Buchanan May 27, 1972. He passed away Jan. 17, 2012. Norma was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Colona and loved going to church and her church family. She loved to sew and work puzzles. She also loved to ride her four-wheel scooter around town.

Survivors include her two children, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a sister, a stepdaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, two husbands and a great-granddaughter.

She was a sweet loving person and will be missed by all.
