Patricia Pender

Patricia R. “Pat” Pender, 89, of Silvis passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Unity Point Rock Island.

Graveside services will be 1:00PM Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton, IA. Memorials may be made to Sunnyside Cemetery. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements.

Pat was born March 28, 1934 in Missouri, the daughter of Everett and Veturah Banks Cackley. She married Leo Pender May 29, 1955 in Keosauqua, IA. He passed away November 21, 2020. Out of high school Pat worked at a creamery in Keosauqua, IA. She spent many years taking care of her family and later worked at Stones Apple Orchard along with her husband Leo for 52 years. Pat enjoyed traveling, occasional visits to the casinos, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children Brenda (Gilligan) Tines and Steven (Sheryl) Pender; grandchildren Jeremy (Ranesha Vallejo) Pender, Patty (Andrew) Stevens, Brandy (TJ) Jones, and Amanda Smith; great grandchildren Caleb, Tara, Hunter, and Kayla; 4 step grandchildren; 20 step great grandchildren; 14 step great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo, great grandson Nathan Smith Jr., and step grandsons Rob McClure and Billy Tines.
