Pearlie M. Thomas, 98, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, in Avon Park, Fla.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, with services to follow at 2 p.m. at the Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Moline.
She was born in Oscar, Ky. on Sept. 3, 1913, to Thomas M. and Rosie Butler Wilson. She was a homemaker, member of the First United Methodist Church in Frostproof, Fla.
She enjoyed traveling, cooking, canning and gardening; she especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She had been a resident since 1988, moving from Green Rock.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen Cruse, Sebring, Fla.; brother, James T. Wilson, Sikestown, Mo.; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas; son, Billy M. Thomas; and great-grandson, Michal Shane Cruse.
