Philip E. Ince Sr., 75, of Silvis, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus, Silvis. Per his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Philip E. Ince Sr. Philip was born March 14, 1937, in Kewanee, the son of James H. and Gertrude Boswell Ince. He married Rosalee Grant Sept. 9, 1953, in Cambridge. He worked at John Deere Plow Planter in Moline as a molder where he later became union committeeman for Local 434. He worked his way up to supervisor, retiring in 1985 after 30 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved working on cars, telling stories of days gone by, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His wisdom, kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, and those who knew him truly were blessed. He will be missed sorely and fondly remembered. Survivors include his wife Rosalee; children, Philip (Mindi) Ince Jr., Kewanee, Lori (Steve) Weeks, East Moline, and Buck Ince, East Moline; grandchildren Nicole, Philip III, Corry, Steven (Rachael), Shane, Josh, Ashley, Violet, and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Coleton, Evan, Calvin, Seth, Haley, Kaden, and Bayla; sisters, Connie (Ken) Sellers, Kewanee, Nancy (Butch) Petty, Kewanee; brothers Bill (Bonnie) Ince, Kewanee and Don (Chris) Ince, Kewanee; sister-in-law Mary Ince, Silvis. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brothers Jimmy, Bobby, Keith and Kenny.
