Ralph E. Brockrogge, 84, formerly of Carbon Cliff, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at Courtyard Estates of Walcott.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the family.
Ralph was born July 11, 1926, in Moline, the son of Ernest and Adabelle Walthers Brockrogge. He served in the Navy on the Sherbune during World War II. He married Dolores A. Northcut on Sept. 2, 1950, in Silvis. She passed away Jan. 9, 2008.
Ralph worked at Spiegel's moving and storage for 19 years. He then worked as a teamster and laborer and, later, retired in 1991 from the nuclear plant in Cordova. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and raising birds.
Survivors include his daughter, Toni Renee (Bob) Nodruft, Durant; son, Ralph Ernest Brockrogge Jr., Carbon Cliff; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Irene, Washington state; and brother, Verne, Galesburg.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one sister.
