Randy Halsey

Randy L. Halsey, 53, of Silvis, went to meet his Lord and savior on Monday, July 28, 2014, at his home. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to Heritage Mission Funds. Randy was born Feb. 11, 1961, in Moline, the son of Tommy and Katherine Wilson Halsey. He married Christine Palmateer in 1982, in Moline. They were blessed with one son in 1985. Randy worked for several area companies as a truck driver. He enjoyed local stock car racing, and all types of racing, as long as it involved a Ford. He also enjoyed participating in two mission trips to Ecuador and spending time with his Bible study friends and his church family. Survivors include his son, Alex, Moline; father, Tommy, Silvis; and his sister, Linda Halsey Knoeferl, Silvis. Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine.
