Ray M. Culbertson

Ray M. Culbertson, 80, of East Moline passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 at his home in East Moline. 

Funeral services will be 11:00AM Friday, February 9, 2024 at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Andalusia Lion’s Club.

Ray was born April 25, 1943 in Moline, IL the son of James Riley and Gertrude L. (Utterback) Culbertson. He was drafted and proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. Ray married Linda Fraikes October 24, 1970 in Moline, IL. He worked as a milkman for Downing’s Dairy and later retired from the Rock Island Arsenal where he worked in the oil house. Ray was a member of the Andalusia Lion’s Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Carbon Cliff. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, going to auctions, and coin collecting. 

Survivors include his wife Linda; children Todd Culbertson and Cheri (Steve Aber) Tomlin; grandchildren Ashley (Jake) Mikel, Tiffany Tomlin, and Kyle Tomlin; great grandchildren Trace Mikel; brother Carl B. Culbertson; sister Connie (Michael) Hainline; a lifelong friend Joe (Fran) Buller and a special cousin Joellyn. 

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry, twin brother Roy, and a sister Linda Culbertson.
