Richard Broline

Richard R. Broline, 75, of Port Byron, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at his home.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline.

He was born March 11, 1936, in Galesburg, to Ralph and Evelyn Peterson Broline. He married Norma Riley Oct. 27, 1956, in Moline.

He was a crane operator at Alcoa for 42 years.

He collected, built and restored clocks with Roy Burlingame at B&B Clocks. He was a member of Chapters 66, 91 and 29 of Antique Clocks. He was also a member of NAWCC, Velie Club and was the author of a book called "Macomb Calandar Clocks Book."

Survivors are wife, Norma, of Port Byron; daughter, Andrea (Ray) Churchill, of Albany; sons, Mark, of Port Byron, and Todd, of Cordova; grandchildren Cassandra Steffen, Annette Schillaci, Nick Broline, Eric Broline, Michael Churchill and Christopher Churchill; great-grandson, Brock Steffen; sister Kay (Ned) Richardson. He was preceded by his parents.
