Richard "Rick" C. VanDeWalle

Richard “Rick”, C. VanDeWalle, 67, of Silvis passed away April 6, 2023 at his home.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.

Richard was born March 25, 1956 in Moline, IL the son of Richard C. and Joanne H. (Rumler) VanDeWalle. He married Joette “Jody” Long June 23, 2000. She passed away September 24, 2018. Rick worked maintenance at St. Katherine Living Center. He enjoyed painting, gardening, being outdoors, and fishing.

Survivors include his fiancé Myra Roelens; daughter Amanda (Alex) Betts; son Jeremy VanDeWalle; grandchildren Coltyn and Brody; siblings Vickie (Jack) Peel, Barb Adams, Pam (George) McWane, and Ron (Gina) VanDeWalle and several nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings Teresa VanDeWalle-Weiland, Michael VanDeWalle, and Edward VanDeWalle.
