Rick Rogers

Rick “Papa Rick” Rogers, 69, of East Moline passed away July 9, 2022 at River Crossing of Moline.

Per his wishes he will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.

Rick was born March 29, 1953 in Moline, IL the son of George and Juanita (Adams) Rogers. He married Darlene Maertens in 1973 and together they had 2 children Bryan and Julie. Rick retired from John Deere Harvester after 30 years. His love and passion was for racing. He spent 60 years with the racing community and was inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame at the East Moline Speedway. He also enjoyed traveling to Wisconsin.

Survivors include his children Bryan (Melissa) Rogers and Julie “Juice” Rogers; grandchildren Kayley and Dawson, great grand dog Yates; brother Jesse (Holly) Rogers; nephew Tony Rogers; special friend Renate and his entire racing family.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
