Robert E. Lashbrook, 83, of Silvis, died Jan. 13, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis. Services are 7 p.m. Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Illini Restorative Care Center. He was born July 12, 1929, in Scotland Township, Ill., to Chester and Eva Ridings Lashbrook. Robert served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from KONE after 27 years of service. He enjoyed reading, walking and listening to music. In his younger years he collected and traded guns. Survivors include his nephews, Larry (Connie) Robinson, Moline, and Darrell (Stephanie) Robinson, Colona; nieces, Rita (Shaun) O'Dell, Colona, and Rhonda (Chris) Porter, Eldridge; 12 great-nieces and -nephews; and 14 great-great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Barbara Robinson; brother-in-law, Clinton Robinson.
