Robert "Bob" Rusk, 79, of Silvis, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Trinity Rock Island.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the family. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 26, 1932, in Galt, Mo., to Gail and Mae Foster Rusk. He married Patricia Osborn on Oct. 30, 1967, in Silvis. She passed away Dec. 7, 2003.
Bob served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at International Harvester for several years.
He enjoyed bowling at In Touch and having coffee with his friends.
Survivors include his children, Yvette (Lewis Shepherd) Rusk, Rock Island, Jennifer (George) Dixon, Rock Island, Lisa Rusk, Chicago, Kristy (Ali) Tmaizeh, Chicago, Dawn Burnett, Rock Island; siblings, Jerry (Janet) Rusk, Rex (Gerry) Rusk, Hazel (Lowell) Williams, Brenda (Guy) Barber, JoAnn (Keith) Smith, Francis Laktas, Wilma (Robert) Connally; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Arnold and Earl; and sisters, Gayla Rusk and Pebble Collis.
