Robert F. Sickels

Robert F. Sickels, 85, of East Moline passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at Grand Haven Retirement Community in Eldridge.

Graveside services will be 10:00am Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Greenview Memorial Gardens in the Chapel.  Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert was born May 17, 1938 in Burlington, Iowa the son of Marion and Myrle Huneke Sickels. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Robert married Carole Ann Bliss June 22, 1958 in Burlington. She preceded him in death November 11, 2008 after 50 years of marriage. He retired from Case IH as a test engineer after 35 years and enjoyed boating and camping.

Survivors include his children DeWayne (Rhonda) Sickels of Jefferson City, MO, Pam (Randy) Garien of Maquoketa, IA, Lori (Jeff) Brown of Wausau, WI; his significant other of 14 years Delores Flathers; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a sister Ruth Bailey.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Robert Johnson, and brothers Jim and Darrel.
