Roberta E. "Tommie" Johnson

Roberta E. “Tommie” Johnson, 94, of Colona passed away October 18, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Moline.

Funeral services will be 10am Friday, October 28, 2022 at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Visitation will be 4-7pm Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Tommie was born October 5, 1928 in Brookfield, Missouri the daughter of Harold and Cora (Nester) Carter. She married Charles E. Johnson April 2, 1948 in Colona. He passed away in 1980. Tommie retired from Colona Grade School where she was a “lunch lady”. She enjoyed fishing on the canal and bowling. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children Sharron (Bill Poggemiller) Weinert and Lester (Cindy Roden) Johnson; grandchildren Chuck Weinert, Jason (Carolanne) Johnson, and Melissa (Daniel Whitcanack) Whitney; 6 great grandchildren and a brother Buck Carter.

Tommie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Archie Weinert, brother Raymond Carter, and sister Rita Tripp.
