Russell Limerick

Russell Scott Limerick, 85, of Colona passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis. Per his wishes, Russell will be cremated and there will be no services. Burial will be at a later date at Flora Hill Cemetery in Neponset, Ill. Schroder Mortuary, Colona, is assisting the family with arrangements. Russell was born June 21, 1929, in Malden, Ill., the only son of George Arthur and Lucy Mae Scott Limerick. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Russell married Deloris Marquez on Sept. 14, 1947, in Hollowayville, Ill. He later married Vera Randolph on July 2, 1977, in Davenport. Russell was an owner/operater truck driver and a mechanic. After his retirement, he worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Moline. Survivors include his wife Vera, Colona; son Donald (Sharon) Clark, Geneseo; and many many grandchildren. Russell was preceded in death by his parents; and a son David Clark.
