Russell Schultz

Russell Schultz, 89, of Silvis passed away November 4, 2021 at his home.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Schroder Mortuary, Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to QC Paws.

Russell was born February 23, 1932 in East Moline, IL the son of Harry and Lynette (Schulte) Schultz. He graduated from UTHS in 1950. Russell married Gayle Rasmusen August 25, 1956 in East Moline. He worked at John Deere Harvester as an electrician, then Deere Headquarters as a Building and Utilities Supervisor retiring after 45 years.

Russell is survived by his wife Gayle; sons Dave (Monica) Schultz and Tim Schultz; daughter Cindy (Steve)Gynn; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother Fred Schultz and a sister Laura Viscioni.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roy Schultz, and granddaughter Stephanie Schultz.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, especially Alicia, Shelby, and Katrina for their kindness, compassion, and excellent care.

Russ wanted everyone to know he knew he was an ***hole, but he was a good ***hole.
