Ruth G. Lange, 90, of Ankeny, Iowa, formerly of Carbon Cliff, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at Des Moines Methodist Hospital.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at Silvis United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, with an Eastern Star Service at 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be left for the Kidney Foundation of Iowa.
Ruth was born Sept. 14, 1921, in LaSalle, Ill., to Fred and Charlotte Dickman Dingman. On Sept. 3, 1940, in Silvis, she was united in marriage to Paul G. Lange. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1998. Ruth was the head of housekeeping at the LeClaire Hotel, Moline, and later a sales clerk at two different ladies clothing stores. She was active in the Rose Chapter Order of the Eastern Star 626, Silvis, serving as past worthy matron. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and ceramics.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughter-in-law, Dave Lange, Ankeny, and Craig and Pam Lange, Boise, Idaho; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Dick, in 1990; three sisters; and one brother.
