Sean P. Thompson

Sean P. Thompson, 62, of Moline passed away surrounded by family Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Genesis Medical Center East Campus in Davenport after a 5-year battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Rapids City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Sean was born February 8, 1961 in Geneseo, Illinois. He married Dana Cole August 22, 1992 in East Moline. He worked with Crew Roofing for 25 years with his best friends and truly loved what he did.

He was a surfer, boxer, race car driver, lead singer in his band “The DTs”, fisherman & bait-shop owner, a son, brother, husband and father. Sean loved anything Harley Davidson including his bike ‘Hateful’, working with his hands on many different types of projects, and always had the Food Network on making recipes with his own spin.

Survivors include his wife and soulmate of 31 years Dana; their three children Elise (Erik) Tye, Kyle (Ashley Kelley) Thompson, and Skylar (Skylar Redmon) Thompson and one grandchild on the way in January.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Lillian “Toots” Fones, cousin Dion Littig and uncle Duane “Dewey” Littig.
